Shotgun stuff :D
So santa came early in the form of a good bugger that I work with and now I have a 12ga loader on my bench.
Bit of a double edged sword this, as I ran my bucket of hulls through depriming/sizing, and found a bunch of brass at the bottom that needs sizing and priming too.
Works as advertised so now I'm going to give it a birthday with a toothbrush and brakleen, followed by a proper lubing.
So now I'm on the hunt for all things 12. I'd like a universal charge bar for the thing (mec 600) but for now I can just use what's in it, or hand-hand load the powder and shot. I have a bunch of #4, and the fulla gave me half a jug of #5.
First mission is a subsonic shot load, but soon to be followed by moulding slugs and working down a load for them. .70cal ball at 1050fps is just going to be all kinds of fun.
And I have an idea about a "do all" load...though not sure how effective it will be...few buck pellets packed in with sparrow shot #7 or so, and 'normal' shot #4, idea being you can point it anywhere and it'll do the job.
Oh, and I'm after magtech brass hulls for some BP fun aswell.
...and a shotmaker
...and I have ideas about an integrally supressed 20g, or .410.

That looks like the one I gave away a couple of years ago didnt come from down these ways did it? Mrs loves her 12g ill try and save the hulls for you.

Winchester if you can. I ran a my bucket of (mostly) Eley - and the pockets are too loose to hold a new primer! The old winchester super-x and bushman are no wucken forries though. There are apparently primer swage/crimp tools. Just what I needed, more to spend money on!
Nope, work mate owns it, lent it out *mumble mumble* years ago but the fulla hardly used it. We were chatting about loading, or guns or something and he offered to go and get it back for me.
Turns out I now have shots #4, 5 and 6, and the difference between is .02" so I might just biff it all together and mix.
The bar in it drops 1 1/16oz loads, which seems like an alright starting load but we'll have to see how she patterns sub-sonic.

Do, or did, you shoot cowboy action? (Or 3-gun?) Would be interested in any load data you have for 12 as it's all new to me.
