After a bit of a clean and going over I felt i could improve it a little bit so took it out of the stock for a bit of a better look. Its a typical russian design It looks crude but its simple rugged and typically over engineered. This thing is never going to break. All I've done to it is remove the trigger assy clean it and mirror polish all the trigger and sear mating surfaces. That has been a major improvement and Ill leave it as is now until I put some rounds through it. If it shoots well I can see that I can drill and tap the trigger and fit a sear engagement adjusting screw.

Been mounting this to a couple of rifles. They give you some insulation tape on the kit to put around the eye bell if its to small for the adaptor to fit on. I dont really want to put tape on my scopes so what Ive found works is cutting a piece of pushbike inner tube and putting that on the eye bell instead, you can even double it up etc if need be...

So ive had it in the back yard using it by itself looking at stuff in the dark and it appears to work really well. Mind you i dont own anything else like this to compare it to. Mounts to a couple of rifles well and is nice and clear when combined with a scope. Menu is easy to navigate although not quite sure what a couple of settings actually do...

Had a quick play last night. Looking around the back yard worked well. The menu is easy to use. In day mode there are a couple of neat things in the display, a couple of angle meters one for cant and one for uphill/downhill as well as battery charge state. Its handy that you can scan with it without having to attach it to your scope..

Been tossing up weather to venture into night vision for a while now and finally decided to give it a try. A package turned up to work this morning and there it was. First impressions are it looks well made and its light but doesnt feel like a toy. I ordered another adaptor as well so it covers most of our rifles. Just need to read up instrutions figure out which rifle is going to wear it and get back here with what we found...
