Nikko stirling rangefinder

Been using a nikko stirling rangefinder for a few years now. Its a good little unit and ive tried it against a high dollar one a forestry crew was using and it was reading the same as their one. Really simple to use and has features on it i dont use. I just use it for straight measuring distance from me.

I have a laser disto for work (rated for 30-50m I think? but +/- 2mm) Also don't use all the features. Damn handy though, and not affected by wind like a tape measure :D

I've used some of the forestry ones (that calculate height of trees - I suppose it would work for shots up or down hill too)... Would like to get me one, mostly for the bow hunting, because that's rather unforgiving on range "guesstimates"

most shooting I do is pretty flat. You can use a trigonometry app for the uphill and down hill stuff and make an angle meter out of a protractor

Yeah mee too. And I don't really shoot far enough for it to matter. Except with the .22 on extreme angles (aiming under) but I never range that and always seem to connect.
